Steel structure fabrication and installation
We cover the complete steel structure cycle: engineering, shop fabrication, transport and on-site installation. Whether you arrive with a closed engineer's design or need us to also handle the design, we deliver the structure finished, certified and ready for roofing, cladding and services.
Shop fabrication service
Our fabrication is carried out in our own workshop, not in subcontracted shops, which guarantees quality control and traceability for every part. We have CNC sawing and oxy-fuel cutting lines, drilling and plasma for plate machining, assembly tables and dedicated welding bays. The process starts from the fabrication drawings generated from the structural calculation and is documented part by part.
We work with certified steel of European origin, usually S275JR or S355JR according to the calculation, and with high-strength 8.8 or 10.9 bolts. Critical welding is carried out by welders qualified to UNE-EN ISO 9606, with approved welding procedures (WPS) specific to each type of joint. Before dispatch, every assembly goes through a dimensional check and, on bespoke parts, through visual or dye penetrant inspection.
- CNC cutting with saw, oxy-fuel and plasma
- Plate drilling and machining
- MIG/MAG and arc welding with approved WPS
- Welders qualified to UNE-EN ISO 9606
- Shop primer or hot-dip galvanising as specified
- Marking, identification and traceability per part
- Visual inspection and, where applicable, non-destructive testing
On-site installation service
Installation is carried out by our own in-house crews, it is not subcontracted. We bring all the material to site organised by phases, and an installation supervisor coordinates the works with the project management team, the main contractor and the other trades on site. We bring our own access platforms and work with self-propelled cranes sized according to the weight and height of the parts.
We apply a safety plan specific to each site, with lifelines where appropriate, demarcation of lifting zones and certified personal protective equipment. The usual sequence is: setting out and levelling of anchor plates, erection of columns, assembly of portal frames, final bolting and welding, and placement of purlins and bracing. When the warehouse or building allows it, we organise the installation in phases so the client can bring in other trades without waiting for the full structure to be closed.
- In-house installation crews, not subcontracted
- Self-propelled crane sized per project
- Scissor and articulated access platforms
- Health and safety plan specific to each site
- Setting out, erection, bolting and final adjustment
- Coordination with project management and other trades

How we coordinate fabrication and installation
When a single contractor takes on both fabrication and installation, the risks drop dramatically. There are no disputes over on-site adjustments or drawing errors: we take on any correction without passing the cost to the client. Our technical team keeps a single 3D model that is shared with the workshop and the site, and the fabrication and installation leads meet at the start of the project to synchronise deliveries and lifting routes.
Typical lead times are: 1 to 3 weeks of calculation and drawings depending on complexity, 3 to 8 weeks of shop fabrication in parallel with the foundations, 1 to 2 weeks of transport and preparation, and 2 to 6 weeks of installation depending on area and height. Roofing and cladding can start as soon as the first phase of the structure is closed.
Who this service is ideal for
The full fabrication and installation service fits especially well when the client wants a single party responsible for the entire structure, whether to consolidate the warranty or to simplify coordination. It is ideal for developers and contractors who outsource the structure, for end industries that do not want to manage several suppliers, and for architecture and engineering firms that outsource execution while keeping control of the project.
Documentation and warranties
On completion of the works we hand over a complete technical folder with: engineering report, as-built drawings, EN 1090 CE marking certificate for the structure, declaration of performance, welding certificates, steel certificates of origin and dimensional control records. All this documentation is required for the activity licence and for the building's technical inspection.
