Metal canopies for the home
The metal canopy is the most versatile solution for creating a covered outdoor space at home, whether terraced, detached or rural. It is usually anchored to the existing facade and supported on perimeter columns, forming a covered volume that protects from sun and rain and lets you use the outdoors for much of the year. The typical structure is galvanized or RAL-painted steel, with sandwich panel roofing (more opaque and insulating) or polycarbonate (more translucent).
Finishes can range from the standard canopy to premium solutions with a wooden false ceiling, integrated lighting, fans and sliding glass side closures that turn it into usable space even in winter. The average fabrication and installation time is 2 to 5 weeks depending on surface area and complexity.
Modern and bioclimatic metal pergolas
Modern metal pergolas are self-supporting structures (not anchored to a facade) with fixed or motorised adjustable louvre roofing. Bioclimatic pergolas with motorised louvres let you regulate light and ventilation, and even collect rainwater with integrated gutters. They are the premium option for hospitality terraces, hotels, penthouses and contemporary design homes.
We work with our own structural profiles or with integrated commercial bioclimatic pergola systems, depending on the budget and the look you are after. Side closures can be tempered glass, sliding glass curtains, retractable mosquito netting or motorised textile panels.

Roofing for terraces, patios and penthouses
For interior patios, elevated terraces and penthouses we provide cover with a lightweight structure and compact polycarbonate roofing, slim sandwich panel or louvre roofing. The structure is anchored to the perimeter walls and calculated to bear the load of the roofing itself, wind (which can be high at altitude) and, in snow areas, the regulatory snow load. When maximum visual openness from the interior is required, we opt for a slender tubular structure with fully translucent roofing.
Available materials and finishes
The choice of material and finish determines service life, maintenance and appearance. These are the most common combinations:
- Galvanized steel structure: high anti-corrosion protection, matte silver finish
- RAL-painted steel structure: customisable aesthetics, requires repainting in the long term
- Anodised aluminium structure: lightweight, no corrosion, more limited range of profiles
- Sandwich panel roofing: insulating, opaque, short installation time
- Cellular or compact polycarbonate roofing: translucent, lightweight, economical
- Adjustable louvre roofing: light/ventilation control, premium
- Glass roofing on a lightweight structure: maximum transparency, high maintenance
Process: measurement, 3D design and installation
For residential canopies and pergolas, the sales process is very different from that of an industrial warehouse. After an on-site measurement visit, we prepare a 3D design with several roofing and finish alternatives so the client can choose with full knowledge. Fabrication only begins once the design has been approved and the quote signed.
Installation is usually completed in 1 to 5 days depending on surface area and roofing type. For canopies anchored to a facade, we first check the wall's capacity and, if necessary, reinforce it with bolted plates. For bioclimatic pergolas with motorised louvres, we also carry out the basic electrical connection for the control unit.
